Jama Masjid : It is the principal mosque of Delhi situated in Old Delhi. It is the largest and best known mosques in India.
Rajghat : It is situated on the banks of Yamuna River. It is cremation site of Mahatma Gandhi, the father of the nation. Beautiful parks & gardens and two museums dedicated to Gandhiji are attractions of Rajghat.
Old Fort : Built by mughal emperor Humayun, the Old Fort is an excellent example of medieval military architecture. Here travelers can see beautiful decoration and frescoes.
India Gate : Situated on the Rajpath (the ceremonial avenue of Delhi), India Gate is an imposing war memorial monument. The green lawns and parks around India Gate are a popular evening and holiday spot for young and old alike.
Humayun’s Tomb : This beautiful mausoleum monument was built by the widow of mughal emperor Humayun. It was designed by a Persian architect named Mirak Mirza Ghiyas. The construction of this beautiful monument was started in 1562 and finished in 1565. It is the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Laxmi Narayan Temple : Also known as Birla Temple, this beautiful temple is very popular among tourists. It was built in the year of 1938 by the Birla Family. The temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and Goddess Laxmi. The temple complex encompasses a large beautiful garden with beautiful water fountains behind it. On the Janmashthami Day (the Birthday of Lord Krishna – manifestation of Lord Vishnu), the temple attracts thousands of devotees.
Lotus Temple : Built in white marble and shaped in blooming lotus flower, the Lotus Temple is one of the most important tourist attractions in Delhi. It is Bahai House of Worship and also known as the Bahai Temple.
Akshardham Temple : It is one of the finest examples of modern architecture. It is the largest temple complex in the world. It encompass the main temple building, beautiful gardens, food court, IMAX Theatre, sculptures of legends, etc.
Qutub Minar: It is the one of the most visited tourist attractions in Delhi. It is the UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is the longest brick & stone minaret in the world.
